bIKE HIRE

Nothing beats cruising Byron on two wheels, wind in your hair, salt in the air, and no parking dramas in sight. Whether you’re here for a few days or just keen for a proper spin around town, our Tide E-Bikes hire fleet’s got you covered.

We’ve got a range of electric bikes ready to roll, from beach cruisers to fat-tyre adventurers. They’re perfect for exploring the coast, heading up the trails, or just ducking into town for a smoothie run.

Before you jump on, here’s the lowdown on how it all works:

Hire Conditions

Age

You’ve got to be 18 or older to hire a bike, or at least 16 if a parent or guardian signs for you.

ID & Bond

Bring a valid photo ID (driver’s license or passport). A small bond applies depending on the model — refunded when the bike comes back in one happy piece.

Hire Duration

We do hourly, half-day, full-day, and multi-day hire options. The longer you keep it, the better the deal.

Damage & Responsibility

You’re the captain while it’s with you. Treat it like it’s yours, avoid big stacks, and we’ll all stay friends. If something serious happens, we’ll chat it through fairly — we’re riders too, we get it.

Battery & Charging

Keep an eye on your charge and try not draining it to zero. Multi-day hires come with chargers and a few easy tips. Try to stay within about 25 km of Byron so we don’t have to come rescue you halfway up a mountain.

Prohibited Use

No riding under the influence, no busy footpaths, and definitely no surfing on your bike (yes, we’ve had people try). Basically, if it sounds like a bad idea — it probably is.

Returns

Please bring the bike back on time, clean, and with the accessories we gave you. If you’re late, we’ll just tack on an hourly or daily rate.

What’s Included

All hires come with a helmet (that one’s the law), a lock, and good vibes. Some models have racks, baskets, or phone holders too — ask us when you book.

Safety & Waiver

You’ll sign a quick waiver before riding off, and we’ll give you a mini run-through on how everything works. Easy as.

So yeah, pick your bike, grab your helmet, and hit the road. Byron’s even better when you’re gliding through it electric-style.
